Construction: Refurbishments

Chime Square

Refurbishment, loft conversion and rear single-story extension on a 10 year old townhouse in St Albans city centre

Loft Conversion - adapting the existing roof area to create an additional bedroom.

Refurbishment - a complete remodelling of all floors to give our client much better use of their family living space by moving the kitchen downstairs and creating an additional family room on the first floor.

Extension - the rear will be extended to have a large kitchen/diner with a glazed roof and flow onto the contemporary outside space.

The end of terrace townhouse before work commenced. The property currently has a rear first floor kitchen which the clients want to relocate downstairs to create a move cohesive living environment for their family.

The rear of the property will be extended with a single story extension to create a large kitchen.

The garden as viewed from the 2nd floor.

Scaffolding is effected to facilitate the loft conversion.

The steels for the loft conversion are lifted into place.

The old first floor kitchen was cramped and impractical.

Before work commenced on this project. Loop provided the client with 3D illustrations of their three bathroom areas.

This assists Loop Construction in communicating the installation of these items as much as helping our clients understand our intended layout.

The kitchen opens directly onto a contemporary courtyard garden that is completed with floor and wall tiling as well as feature lighting.

A corian worktop was installed as a preparation surface as well as a seating area.

The kitchen extension received a glass roof finish.

A recessed, lit shelving area was added to the bathroom.
